Roller Coaster Painters

One of Baynum Painting’s favorite (and biggest) roller coaster painting projects to date was the ‘X’ to ‘X2′ conversion at Six Flags Magic Mountain back in 2008.  Below is an article describing the project that CoatingsPro Magazine published in their November 2008 print edition.  What an awesome privilege to have been involved in the transformation of such an excellent coaster!

As organizers at the Linder Family Tennis Center prepare for one of tennis’ biggest annual events, the Western Southern Open – Baynum Painting’s crew can be seen hanging out (literally) high above the court-side seats.  When thousands of fans swarm to the Mason OH facility in mid-August to watch the biggest names in Tennis compete, the bright blue that’s now visible on the southern canopy pictured below will be all new thanks to painters Derrick and Matt.

Baynum Painting’s crew is seen here putting the finishing touches on the pedestrian bridge at the parking lot of Jeff Ruby’s Waterfront in Covington KY, in preparation for the famous floating restaurant’s upcoming return.

Baynum Painting has added an incredibly powerful (40,000 PSI) tool to our arsenal – an Ultra High Pressure Water Blaster from NLB Corp.

Capable of removing a single layer of paint from a multi-layered object, or stripping everything (up to 60 mils thickness!) from rust, old coatings, or build-up down to the bare metal – the UHP Blaster is incredibly efficient and we’re thrilled to be able to offer it as a prep option to Baynum Painting’s industrial customers.

With the total efficiency of grit (i.e. sand or walnut-shell) blasting, yet without the environmental hazards or clean-up concerns involved in such processes, the UHP is the ultimate surface prep tool.

Check out a quick video showing the Blaster in use on a couple recent projects:

It’s been nearly 3 weeks since we announced that we’ll be painting the new flying coaster at Luna Park in New York. Here are some great photos showing the work well under way, and quickly nearing completion! The weather has cooperated nicely, and the ride looks great as we approach the upcoming Grand Opening of Scream Zone!

Baynum Painting is thrilled to announce that we have been contracted to complete the painting of Coney Island’s Luna Park Volare Flying Coaster. While we have had the opportunity to work at some of the world’s most popular amusement parks, there is something uniquely special about being able to contribute to the beautiful skyline of one of New York’s most famous landmarks!

Stay tuned to Baynumpainting.com for updates and photos as the project progresses!
